Our team

Our team of psychologists are all trained in clinical psychology, and bring warmth, thoughtfulness, and depth to their work. Each clinician offers a reflective approach to therapy, guided by a commitment to understanding the emotional landscape of each person they meet.

Tim Collier

Principle psychologist

BAppSc (Hons), BPsySc (Hons), GradDipPsych, MClinPsych

Tim is the principle psychologist at Victorian Psychology Group. He approaches therapy with warmth, humility, and a deep respect for each person’s inner world. He appreciates that it can be difficult to put experiences into words, and that meaningful change often takes time to emerge. Rather than offering quick solutions, Tim works collaboratively to build a therapeutic relationship where thoughtful exploration and lasting change can unfold.

Shagun Chawla

Clinical psychologist

BSc, BHlthSc (Hons), MClinPsych

Shagun is a clinical psychologist who supports adults with a wide range of concerns. She brings empathy, attentiveness, and a genuine curiosity to each therapeutic relationship. With a focus on collaboration and trust, she supports patients to explore their experiences and move towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Aaron Sayers

Clinical psychology registrar

BPsychSc, GDipPsychAdv, MClinPsych

Aaron is a clinical psychology registrar who works with people across the lifespan. He brings a calm, non-judgemental presence to therapy, and values creating a space where challenges can be explored with honesty and care. With an appreciation for each person’s unique story, Aaron supports insight and change to develop through a collaborative and respectful process.

Elise

Practice manager

Elise oversees the day-to-day operations of the practice, supporting both new and ongoing patients with warmth and professionalism. She is often the first point of contact, and works to make the process of accessing therapy as smooth as possible. Elise is available to assist with bookings, fees, and general enquiries, and ensures the practice runs with clarity and care.

Getting started

We typically meet with patients once per week, at the same time each week. This consistency helps create a reliable space for reflection, where trust and momentum can develop over time. We appreciate that each person’s circumstances are different, and we approach these conversations thoughtfully. Frequency can be reviewed together as the work progresses.

Initial phone call

A brief conversation to understand what you’re seeking, and whether our service feels like a good fit. We’ll answer any questions you may have and, if appropriate, schedule an initial appointment.

Assessment

The first three to four sessions focus on gaining a shared understanding of your concerns, history, and hopes for therapy. This reflective process helps shape a direction for the work ahead.

Therapy

Ongoing sessions provide a consistent space to explore thoughts, feelings, and relational patterns. Over time, this process can deepen self-understanding and support meaningful emotional change.
